About: Welcome

What are we all about?

The Enhancing Music Access is a project of the Music Education Research Group of De Montfort University Leicester. The project aims at making music lessons more accessible for pupils, enabling all pupils to discover their own creativity and feel included.

We are looking to enhance teacher practice in three ways:

  1. Providing a space to talk about ideas: Community of Practice

  2. Sharing teaching content to enable all pupils to access music

  3. Informing about newest research that is happening in universities

Any teacher who teaches music, whether a trained or untrained musician, is welcome. We have worked with teachers with various backgrounds in the past.

How can you join us?

  • We are happy to provide bespoke twilight sessions at your school for one or more teachers.

  • We also organize Saturday events at DMU for teachers.
